Last minute SS14 Photoshoot Fun! March 20 2014, 1 Comment
Well as you all will know we are due to launch our SS14 Collection and our BRAND NEW website very soon! So it’s all go here at Pazuki, making sure everything is perfect - well as close to perfect as physically possible - meaning we had an excuse to have another SS14 photoshoot, and we couldn’t have picked a better weekend for the job! Stewart Bywater, our favourite photographer, arrived at Pazuki bright and early ready to get started, followed closely by one of the Pazuki girls, and face of Pazuki’s SS14 collection, Camille Auclair. We also had Ashleigh, another of the Pazuki girls, and her boyfriend (and resident web designer) Jon stepping in to help with the modelling of the upcoming collection. So as the girls caught up and touched up their makeup, Stewart and Jon munched their way through croissants to fuel up for the long day ahead. Once everyone was ready we got straight down to business as we had a long and exciting day ahead. We started off with some lovely shots of the beautiful dresses inside Pazuki HQ, bathed in the lovely morning sunshine.
Attention to detail
Feeling that we couldn't afford to miss out on the wonderful weather, working or not, we moved the shoot outside for the remaining dresses, coats and tunics... We were a little disappointed in the temperature though, the sunshine had raised our expectations a little too high!
Shots in the sun!
We also got some nice shots of Jon donning a few of our unisex scarves whilst we were on Barnes Common. Despite how much he said he didn't want to model we think the pictures turned out great!
Our Linen/Cotton Camouflage Wrap
After minor concern over the safety of poor little Maisie, who had decided to follow us before she got scared and hid under some shrubbery, we headed back for the remaining shots and some well earned lunch.

Roughly 1000 images, 30 outfit changes, 1 malfunctioning flash-lamp, which Mr. Bywater managed to overcome without issue :), and 1 stolen nap (Jon!) later and we have been left with some really amazing shots for the new website and we couldn't be happier :).

Pazuki and Gentlemans Style March 06 2014, 0 Comments
One of our long time Pazuki fans Neil Rivers contacted Pazuki saying he might have an exciting venture for us, knowing Pazuki used to create a selection of menswear and men's accessories... A company that wants to specialise in 'Gentlemans Style'. So we rushed around, grouping together current prints from the latest SS14 and the upcoming AW14 collections that we thought were the most suitable. Along with a selection of photographs of our current and future stock on men and some 'ways to wear' fashion boards.
All set up and ready for the Gentleman's Style meeting
Thursday morning came and we had the pleasure of meeting Max and Ryan from the upcoming online lifestyle and fashion concept Gentlemans Style. They were full of fantastic ideas on how to expand the ever growing collection of Pazuki clothing and cater it towards men. We were extremely excited about some of the ideas instantly and are itching to get designing and producing as soon as we can (waistcoats, ties, shirts, pocket squares) some of the other ideas we are still slightly sceptical about... But we could be proven wrong (Pazuki onesie... hmmm). We can't wait to get working with them to make it all happen!
Max and Ryan looking through photographs and our SS14 scarves
Here at Pazuki we had been toying with the thought of adding a menswear line to Pazuki once again for some time (as many of our scarves are worn and enjoyed by men - why not have a clothing collection too?). We now have an excuse to make this become a reality.
A snippet of 'City Soup' one of our SS14 scarves ... were thinking Printed shirt?!
Ryan taught us the proper way to test a scarf is to gave it a sniff, we're not sold on that one :)
Once Ryan had finished sniffing our scarves, we gave them all a tour of Pazuki HQ...

It was a very productive and inspiring morning, the Gentlemans Style team are full of fantastic ideas and we can't wait to spend some more time with them.
Blossom Mother and Child visit Pazuki February 19 2014, 0 Comments
It's that time of year again... We had Luella and Sophie from Blossom Mother and Child at Pazuki, following up on their visit regarding the AW14 collection before Christmas! In our previous meeting we discussed styles, prints, fabrics, colours and basically what worked best for them. This will be the fourth season Pazuki has collaborated with Blossom and we hope there are many more to come. We work together with Luella on shapes that work for Blossom - she loves our prints, that we are so nearby and can produce things quickly. She is also a big supporter of UK brands :) We had all out new AW14 sample garments and prints all laid out for them ready for their visit.

Obviously the meeting started with a few cups of tea and general chit chat before we got down to the serious stuff...
Luella picking out her favourite pieces
Trying on all the items is essential for Luella and Sophie, though it is maternity wear and they are both far from pregnant-sized, they carry with them a foam bump. They were keen to discover how comfortable and wearable each item was for their customers before choosing to stock them. The good thing about our maternity pieces is, that regardless of whether you're 9 months gone or not pregnant at all, they are cut to hang beautifully.

We don't want to give away too much about their upcoming AW14 collection, but we think the prints, cuts and fabrics look fantastic together.
There's Sophie wearing one of Blossom's key items from SS14, the long silk kimono dress in corsage. Available only on the Blossom Mother and Child website - we love making these! They look amazing on everyone and show off our prints so well... Win win :)

Textile View February 13 2014, 0 Comments
Are any of you yet to open your Textile View magazine?
We only got around to opening ours last night, it was just getting pushed aside due to the madness that has been life here at the Pazuki studio. Normally we are basically ripping open the packaging before it has even left the poor postman's hands – this is normal behaviour, I'm sure all you View readers agree! Well, after skimming excitedly through the beautifully laid out pages and seeing what the future of textiles holds for the upcoming seasons we came across this...
“Movement in print our story is about the movement and three-dimensional prints that show the process of painting, sculpture and craft. Pattern’s have variegated surfaces that shift and fade, something the eye cannot quite grab. Images look best when masked with delicate veneers that might unsuspectingly work like a three-dimensional screen. Reverse effects of two-dimensional on three-dimensional make us look again at what is real and what is not.”
