Are any of you yet to open your Textile View magazine?
We only got around to opening ours last night, it was just getting pushed aside due to the madness that has been life here at the Pazuki studio. Normally we are basically ripping open the packaging before it has even left the poor postman's hands – this is normal behaviour, I'm sure all you View readers agree! Well, after skimming excitedly through the beautifully laid out pages and seeing what the future of textiles holds for the upcoming seasons we came across this...
“Movement in print our story is about the movement and three-dimensional prints that show the process of painting, sculpture and craft. Pattern’s have variegated surfaces that shift and fade, something the eye cannot quite grab. Images look best when masked with delicate veneers that might unsuspectingly work like a three-dimensional screen. Reverse effects of two-dimensional on three-dimensional make us look again at what is real and what is not.”
